Beach in April?

I am thinking of going to Albania during Easter week. I read some posts already about the various beaches and assume the ones in the south would be best in April -- but wanted to check with anyone who has been there at that time of year to see if the weather is beach-holiday-appropriate. Alternatively, I would go to Hvar, Croatia.

Hey sky 2347, if you go to the South between Vlora and Saranda where the most beautiful beaches are you might be able to swim although the weather might not be too hot. I gather the temperature during the day is between 23- 28 maybe even wormer. In any case, it will be wormer than in Hvar since it is more Southern.

I am sure you will have a great time in this very beautiful and still undiscovered country.

Thanks Rozafa! I would really like to see Albania whilst it is still relatively undiscovered -- it seems to be cropping up in lots of travel articles these days so its undiscovered-ness might not last long! Anyways, if I manage to arrange the trip, I am sure I will be seeking your travel advice again in the future!

Hi,

we regularly visit albania in April and September most years and find the weather to be good on the coast but much cooler inland. Last year April was warm and nice walking (shorts and t-shirt) weather even in Golem (Durres) but as with everywhere weather will change and so if you want sure hot weather go May-September.

Still there are many places to visit try Kruje castle which is full of history.
