Hi guys,
having absolutely no luck trying to find the LP Albania, can anyone supply a good website I can order from? Or is anyone willing to sell on a recent version please? Thanks in advance.

Are you sure there is one? We never found one. However Albania is covered in the Lonely Planet Western Balkans guide - which is OK except the 1st edition was 2006 and the 2nd edition isn%26#39;t out until next year. We were in Albania last month and found some info in the guide is (not surprisingly) out of date, mainly opening times, prices, restaurants that have since vanished, that kind of thing. Also because the book covers all of the Western Balkans it%26#39;s not that detailed - but we still put it to good use anyway. If you can%26#39;t find another guide book I%26#39;d still get the LP Western Balkans one and then back it up with some www.inyourpocket.com info, just their free PDF guides are usually pretty good.

Thanks Spoony, I think you may be right, maybe there isn%26#39;t an Albania edition. I picked up the Western Balkans LP today, which, as you say, just has a tad of info. Waterstones could order me one in apparently, maybe I%26#39;ll take them up on it? Will endeavour to follow your advice though, many thanks m%26#39;darl.

Hello,
Albania 3rd (Bradt Travel Guide Albania) (Paperback)
by Gillian Gloyer (Author) comes out July 1, 2008. It should sell for around $20. amazon.com let%26#39;s you preorder it (I%26#39;m sure other websites do too)
Hope it helps.

Gillian Goyer%26#39;s Bradt Guide is mediocre. Get the Blue Guide to Albania and Kosova. Great reference book. I have been here for almost eight years and always carry a copy with me when I travel.

Check out the new Thomas Cook Cityspots guidebook to Tirana. It also includes information about Kruja and Berat. It was written by a veteran travel writer and explorer, Tim Clancy, who is based in Sarajevo. Tim knows his stuff when it comes to travel.
You can find the book via most online booksellers. I found it via a travel blog about travel in the Balkans:
