We are planning a trip from Turkey to Northen France in August this year, would like to know if anyone has any info on ferries from Vlore to Brindisi, could we just turn up on the day, to book and pay, or do we have to book in advance, also, how long is the journey?

The ferry from Vlora to Brindisi should boked in advance, particularly if you are coming in August. The flux of emigrants returning each summer is unbelievable. Durres has more connections to more places and bigger facilities to handle the mobs. There is also a fast ferry from Durres to Bari that takes 20 cars and 200 people across in three hours. It%26#39;s actually cheaper than the slower, overnight ferries. Definitely book in advance. The slow ferries take about six hours Vlore-Brindisi and about eight hours Durres-Bari.

Do these ferries run year around? Particularly in November? Name of company would be very helpful as well. Marlene
