Any camp grounds available in Albania?

We are taking our old Land Rover down the Adriatic coast in june next year. We will be camping as we are traveling for a long time. I can not find any information on whether there are camping facilities in Albania.... can anyone help.... also anymore ideas of out of way places to visit, scenary and people is what we would like to experience....Some of the advice already posted has been great.... thanks

I suggest a very good map and gps. The roads in Albania are very poor in the towns. Myself and partner travelled by motor bike and found that the main routes were fine but roads in towns very poor.

We stayed in hotels about 30 euros for a couple per night. More than happy to provide more details if you wish. John

hi caroline i am an Albanian living in england and yes there is camping facilities in Albania try a mountin overlooking the capital Tirana is called (Mali i Dajtit) or you have a beautiful villige of shishtavec in north where u see a beautiful mountins, more help,
