I%26#39;m wondering what is the best way (and hopefully cheaper way) of getting to Albania, without flying into Tirana which is usually very expensive? I%26#39;m wondering if it%26#39;s better to fly to Italy and go by ferry, or come across the border from Greece or one of the neighbouring countries?
Any tips please!

cheapest way ? fly with ryanair to italy and take the train to Bari. Italian railways are among the cheapest in Europe. http://www.ferroviedellostato.it/

Once in Bari take the ferry. Among the cheapest is Ventouris lines. www.ventouris.gr
Travelling in Albania is very cheap!

cheapest way :
Germanwings from Stansted to Cologne and from Cologne again Germanwings to Tirane. That is more direct/cheapest way to get there.

if you fly from Stansted to Cologne than Cologne to Skoje in Macedonia, than take bus from Skopje to Elbasan %26amp; onwards anywere in Albania.
Another option is to fly with Easyjet/Ryanair to Dubrovnik, than bus Dubrovnik-Ulcinj (Montenegro)cross into Albania at Ulcinj into Shkoder.

Try to fly to Corfu, from there take a ferry to Saranda, only 15 Euros.
