need to get to saranda from durres or tirana

i am arriving in tirana on the 4th of sep at about 2.45 and was hoping to get to saranda, anyone know of buses going that late in the afternoon or whats the time of the first bus in the morning.

any info appreciated.

Hi. Did you manage to find out about bus time from Tirana - Sarande? I%26#39;ve been looking too and have only figured out that it%26#39;s -/+ 6 hours and they leave early in the morning.

No larry i am still much the same as you, i know that they leave early in the morning, about five i think, i am stating in tirana on the fourth at a place called freddys hostel and the owner is pretty helpful so maybe he has some info,

i am going to Corfu on the fifth so i will need to get an early bus.

Hi would you be kind enough to do a posting about the ferry to Corfu from Saranda please? (I am off to Corfu soon)

I have read that is leaves Corfu at 9am local and returns 10.30 but is that Albanian time (+1gmt) as there is a one hour time difference.

Is there more than one ferry each day and is it easy, doing the reverse to you, going to Albania from Corfu and staying 1/2 or 3 days and then coming back or are we limited either by the Albainians or the Greeks?

Irelandbrophy (what is your name?) can you take a few photos of the port or the boat/hydrofoil and perhaps ticket office and post them on the page.

04.00 , 05.00 , 07.00 , 08.30 , 09.30 , 16.00 , 22.00

the ferries across to corfu was a pretty haphazard affair, i was in sarande about 12.30 but the ferry was not leaving until 4.30 however when it did arrive tour groups seemed to have priority over independent travellers and i had to wait until 5.30 to get another one!

coming back from corfu was even worse because you have to go to a shop on a street away from the ferry port to purchase a ticket(you cant buy a return)and then return to the port where its difficult to know where the ferry is leaving from, it was early in the morning when i was there and i was a bit sleepy but it was a lot of hassle.
