Orikumi near Vlore Albania what's it like there?

I have been tempted to buy an apartment in Orikumi.. it looks lovely. Just wondered if anyone has been to this part of Albania and could help me make a decision as to wheather to go ahead or not.

Hi, I am an overseas property agent selling Bulgarian property. I visited Orikum two weeks ago to look into selling property in Albania. The coastline to the south of the country is stunning, very similar to Greece and / or Montenegro, the beaches are very good, the backdrop outstanding and the people very hospitable. For a developing country it has a way to go but thats why the prices are as cheap as they are. Be careful of illegal building as this goes on but is being stamped out (I saw a new build being knocked dowm whilst there). I was so impressed that I have taken on a couple of developments to see how they sell, one in Orikum and one in Tirana. Please see selectpropertyoverseas.com/… for details and photos taken whilst I was there. Kind Regards Phil Grimes

I have just posted something on my blog about the potential of buying property in Albania that you might be interested in reading before you make a decision.

Hi. You should definitely go ahead, since this is the best time for such a choice. As mentioned because it is cheaper and the choices might even be more prolific. As for hospitality that is a common tradition in Albania and u will never feel isolated.

hello, I%26#39;ve been thinking the same, to buy a property in Dhermy, it is a beautiful village one hour from Vlora. The coast from Vlora to Saranda is absolutely breathtaking and what is the most appealing to me it is not crowded as in Montenegro during the summer months.

However, the Riga guy is right, if you want to make a profit out of it in the near future maybe you should buy somewhere else. I would like to buy it because I would like to have a summer place somewhere where is beautiful and not crowded.

Orikum is nice but you need to be careful because of illegal buildings.

I am an agent and developer selling from UK , in Vlora, Saranda, Durres and Tirana. The company strongly believes in the potential of Albania for capital growth in the long term. All due diligence is taken out to make sure papers are clean in title and where possible guarantees and finance is available too. If anyone is interested in knowing more about what we have to offer and advice also, then please let me know and I can exchange addresses.
