Day trips from Tirana

I am just wondering if it is possible to use Tirana as a base, and do a day trip to Durres or Berat? Thanks in advance.

Sure it is however I think you should stay overnight in Berat, there is a nice hotel Mangalen, and the town is beautiful.

Durres is very near Tirana.
